The million dollar question? So is the VH45DE motor infact a better motor then the early model 1uz-fe's? For starters the VH45DE is larger motor, has more power at stock, appears to be stout, alluminum block too.....Hmmm? Longevity is the big question mark...As we know the 1uz-fe's can go 300,000 miles when serviced and maybe even more...Also the early model 1uzfe's can handle as much as 500whp with stock internals, can a stock VH45DE do that? Probably not is my guess...

I still have to give the edge to the early model 1uzfe's after all is said and done as they are cheaper to buy used...

The starter on the side would cause issues on a swap i would think too,just another benifit of the uz engine.

There is an Orange 350Z using this V8 in D1(Formula D?) Drifting right now. There was a great article on it in DSport. (A couple months ago.) Nice custom manifold they put on it too!
