Crown & SC400 ECU

I have both of these ecu's for my 1UZ to 99 hilux 4WD (manual)conversion, which one is the better one to use
crown 89661-30430 have cut loom with plugs for this one
SC400 89661-24250 have complete loom for this one

use the sc400 with uncut loom

workign with cut looms can turn to be a pain down the track
with bad connections and messy bulky not flexible harness near the ecu

and with experience on how many people in the world cannot solder nicely
i would use an uncut loom

Please note that the Soarer ecu requires the dark green injectors.
Where as the Crown ecu will use the light purple injectors.

As above, it will be MUCH easier to use the uncut loom (the soarer loom is also pretty easy to use, which is a bonus), but if your engine has the purple injectors, please source some dark green ones. I believe all 1UZ's from about '93 onwards use the dark green injectors.

The Soarer ecu will also require a Fuel Pump ecu, or some form of aftermarket fuel pump controller (such as an RPM or Oil pressure trigger relay) to control the fuel pump.
