Correct Oil Pressure

Hey all,

The oil pressure weve been seeing is 50psi at idle cold, 25psi warm. Under revs this increases to 50. I figured this is ok, other 1UZ's ive seen are the same.

Yesterday though I ran the oil breather lines out ofthe rocker covers to an oil catch can and under revs its now pushing 90psi! Im figuring this is way to high and Im risking blowing seals out.

Needless to say Im going to put a bigger breather on the oil catch can. Anyway, would I be correct in assuming that the PCV valve is in the rocker cover breather on no 1 bank?

I see about 90 psi at anything over 2500 rpm, 40 psi idling when warm, 60 psi idling when cold on a 60k miler , so I don't think you have anything to worry about. I beleive that when new 100psi oil pressure is expected.

PCV is on no 1 bank.

My engine runs a good 90+ psi oil pressure too. 30 - 50 psi when at idle.
