I have the Toyota V8 in my offroad racing buggy. It has the stock auto with full manual shift. It performs well.

Need to get some pictures. :lol:

After some info on how to convert lexus auto to manual shift without using ECT unit. Am building offroad race truck also using lexus motor of course.Prob use standard ECU for a start if i can.
Can u help.

I run a Toyota v8 in a Ba folcon ute . We raced in the Australian Safari . KDogs tiptronic starting changing back into first at 130 at will so we ran it manualy which gave us 1st 3rd 4th gears we spent most of the time in 3 rd gear. I have been trying to contact KDog for a few weeks but my Emails have been coming back . How did you go in the Safari?

I ran in the 1993 & 1994 events. Seriously tough stuff.

We had lots of small problems .Wiring to fuel pumps put us out for half a day. Diff mounting broke out half day.Two foot Cutter broke steering on left side out half day. Two foot gutter droke steering on right side out half day.Wheel fell off out half day. Just to name a few. First run in car it handled better than expected 12 inches of travel all round helped 200hp at rear wheels didn't car will be lighter next year , bugs should be ironed out & we hope to have 300+ hp . This should put us up towards the pointy end.
