Code 13

[Lextreme II]

My engine was diagnose with this code. According to Diagnose Code for OBDI. It stated as RPM Circuit No. 2. Where should I start chasing this problem?

I have the same problem on mine.. i still have not cleared the ECL. i have checked all the sensor and they are all with in specs. My next step is to see if my timing belt skip..

So my suggestion is to check the sensor first.. there's a total of three (3) sensor as far as i know.. one each on the distributor and one on somewhere near the crankshaft pulley.. i hope this help..

First time I saw this code I had a very dirty camshaft sensor. I have also seen code 13 when my new timing belt slipped a tooth after faulty installation. Pinched wires are a sensible culprit.. pinching or crimping wires between metal or plastic parts can be easily missed by accident. Lastly it is always possible that one forgets to plug the connectors back together. If none of these solutions work out you can test the sensor itself with a multimeter tracing the signal from the pickup on back. Likely the timing belt though
