I know another code 13 problem, I've done an extensive search, and a lot of research via the web and mitchelle on demand. Anywho, I got a 94 LS400, check engine light has been on ever since I bought it about 4 years ago. Engine runs very strong, no misses, no vibration just this code 13, I have access to mitchelle and did a search on this code 13, rpm signal, camshaft. I talked to a friend that's a tech, and he said even if its off a tooth, these engines run so strong you wouldn't feel anything, I suspect it has something to do with the cam sensor. But here's the thing, when I first start up my car, there is no check engine light, about 3 seconds later the check engine light will come on. Now if I were to start up my car, the give it some gas 1000rpm and up, no check engine light, if I were to throw it into gear and drive off, no check engine light. The moment the rpm drops to idle, check engine light....
I plan to ohm the cam sensors one of these days, I don't suspect the crank sensor cuz the car starts and runs fine.. any and all input is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance....
