check engine light comes on after 3,000rpm

Hi all c.e.l comes on when i rev my car past about 2,500 to 3,000rpm then the car starts to run like crap and stalls. it start fine with the c.e.l going out after a few seconds. can anybody point me in the right diection. as i have no codes from the ecu. it is a crown 1uz thats been put into a vl comoodore.

So when you bridge TE1 and E1 does the CEL flash constantly, or does it do nothing (with key ON)

no it doesn't flash any codes?

If it doesn't flash at all, then the TPS is probably not in the IDL position with your foot off the accelerator.

Reset the IDL-E2 just like this http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/fi/FI_101.html
Ignore the distance measurements, just do it so foot off = IDL, throttle open teeny weeny bit = no IDL
(basically IDL-E2 goes open circuit as soon as the throttle opens).

After this is set up right, the CEL SHOULD flash with TE1 and E1 connected, the car should also idle correctly.
