Celsior LS400 MAF Sensor

Hi there I wonder if anyone can help? I have an LS400 and the MAF sensor has broke. Could anybody tell me whether this part is available anywhere in Australia or whether there is a transferable MAF sensor from any other model of Lexus/Toyota. At the moment the car starts but will not accelerate. Any help would be appreciated as I am stranded away from home at the moment and ideally need to drive back tomorrow.

All 1UZ powered cars (pre 1995) use the same sensor.
You should be able to find a 2nd hand one without too much difficulty (depends where you are really)

I've heard rumours that the 7MGTE sensor (1987-1991 Supra) uses the same electronic sensor (but on a different sized tube of metal) but I haven't confirmed this myself.


A 2nd hand 1UZ one will be about $150, a 2nd hand 7MGTE one will be about $50, and a brand new one from Toyota will be over $1000.
