boring

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
I thought the general rule of thumb with 1uz is .000"!

The sleeves are only 2mm thick or something yes? and even .020" bores can create oval bores - or so I was told.

I was told by the same guy that all you can do with a 1uz block without resleeving was re-doing the cross hatch then leave it alone.

Im assuming (and its ONLY an assumption) that you can get thicker sleeves for them - someone would make them. Resleeving correctly is good $$$ though... Esp for an alloy engine.

Perfect timing for this thread for me. I believe that with an overbore of 0.020" on a 1UZ you would end up with cylinder liner walls with a thickness of 0.177" (4.4958 mm). Since I am in the process of installing new Ross 8.5 pistons I am also considering re-sleeving to fit the new pistons and have 7mm (0.275") cylinder liner wall thickness. I will be running less than 20 psi (1.35 bar) boost. I think installing 7mm liners might be a good idea even though a bit of overkill. Any other ideas on this?

Thicker is better - stays straighter - wicks off heat uniformly [somewhat].

Do they heat the blocks / chill the liners before installing or just cold press fit ?

I am pretty sure that they heat and chill with an interference fit. The sleeves I am looking at right now will be sized from diesel engine sleeves. I am still a few weeks off on this so more to follow if anyone is interested.

Will do. I think another 0.100" (2.5 mm) of wall thickness is a good thing. As I have always said, not looking for rwhp over about 500 but a strong runner.
