hi blown ea i was wondering whether you plan to race this car down 1/4 mile at some stage a couple of people have turbos and even twin turbos on there EA falcon six on www.fordforums.com and one is running a low 13 without intercooler on std motor and driveline. i am considering either 1UZ-FE(prefer for V8 for one)or 4.0 inline 6 in my XF both would require similar mods to fit engine etc.
ps your sump is a work of art hope i don't need to go to this much trouble. thanks for rekindled inspiration hope it goes to plan for you, when do you thing you will finish to a point where you can drive it?
 
Hey Deankdx I Plan To Run The Car Down The Drag Strip I Am Hoping To Get Low Ten Second Passes With The Car Completed The Estimated Power Is 700 To 750 At The Fly Wheel For The Sump I Made It Myself As I Plan To Launch It Hard On The Track The Car Will Be Completed Next Month I Hope

i'll be waiting and watching as will lots of others,would you like a link to this thread in the ford forum? and would you like a link to the other turbo EAs in ford forum?
and although this is a bit off topic would you think a 2.5" single exhaust with a super turbo would be the go after the std manifodls and cat into a Y piece on an atmo crown engine with a T5 manual, thanks for you're reply in my post hope i can get some more input.
 
The Progress Is Moving On Just That The Chrismas And New Year Break The Shops Had Closed Down Over The Break I Hope In A Couple Weeks She Will Fire Up The Old Girl I Will Put Some Pics Up Soon Of The Turbo Set Up

It Will Not Be Completed Unfortunatley It Was Ment To Be There Next Time Or Next Car Show Hopefully It Will Be Completed

looks great are they modified standard manifolds or completely new customs, plenty of room down there in an EA just looked under my XF no room at all on drivers side, took me 3 hours to remove steering box(had to remove steeing column and undo engine mount and lift engine a few inches and still was a prick, thought i was going to have to remove exhaust.)
 
Have you bought an ECU yet blown EA?

If not, and you have the cash, go speak to Lumpy @ Hyperdrive about getting an Autronic.

Running boost on these motors I'd be stepping up from the Microtech/Wolf/Haltech level, and going into Autronic.

Also, ask him about Link ECU's
 
There is nothing wrong with the wolf3d, maybe Iam a little biased seeing as i run one :) but i have had no problems with it and is now at a stage where it rivals the drivability of the Delco i had running the old 5L. I have spent a fair amount of time in the last few weeks changing alot of settings and now it is running great, get 11.5L/100kms around town and it see's 6500rpm everytime its driven.

I can send you a NA map to suit a stock engine with 3dplus or a tubo map to suit a normal wolf 3d, running a single turbo @ 15psi using 440cc injectors.
 
Oh and BlownEA, the radiator looks to have the hose connections in the wrong spot - u may wanna change this before u are finished the conversion. The hose connected to the thermostat is actually the inlet to the motor and should be the bottom hose, not the outlet and top hose like most other engines. I have mine setup the way u will if u use this radiator and it is fine, however u need to be very careful the radiator stays 100% full if it drops below the top hose level u will have no water flow instead of reduced cooling capacity.
