For those who intend to run a 1UZ on the track, keeping fluids cool is always nice. What would dictate the need for PS cooler in the first place? Would it just be a matter of adding a cooler inline on the pumps output side? Any other thoughts, ideas?

Should i use a bar and plate cooler like this,

I used one similar to the second one above. Was an inexpensive unit from flexalite that had an8 in and out. From Summitracing.com . Run it in a 22re with hydro assist with big tires and rocks. Works great and gives extra volume. Mounted to front of radiator. Can give part #s and pics if needed.

Cooler must be in steering box outlet (the return line) or before pump inlet if you want to see it that way.

One pump outlet (or box inlet) the pressure will fry the cooler in 10 seconds.

The cooler will be good for a couple of hundred psi and the power steering could be running 1,500 psi or more.
