Well, i've been away for a month and a half and my battery is dead in my 94 LS400. I jumped the car and drove it for a bit, long enough to warm it up and what certainly seemed like long enough to charge the battery. the car again wasn't driven fro about another two weeks and the battery was again dead so i jumped it again. however this time, if i let the RPM fall below 1200 or so, it stalls and the alternator isn't charging the battery. Now i thought that it could be the car, but i have the battery connected via jumper cables to my BMW wich is working perfectly and it takes in literally no charge. as in the open door light doesen't come off when the cables are disconnected.
I live in eastern canada at the moment and it's REALLY cold here. Could that have broken the battery or should i take the battery out bring it into the house to warm up and then try and boost the car again. I have no battery charger myself.
Side note, wich was also a guess i had, it could be a bad battery cables, and at risk of sounding foolish, how hard are they to install, and how much can i estimate im going to spend?
