Au. How good are those pre-lexus Soarers?

Forgive us in the US, we don't have these--at least not to my knowledge. Where do they stand in the stream of choice cars in Au? It looks like they come in a few varieties. I think I've seen them with 1G, 7M, and 1J.
I suspect they are a lot like the MA70 supras?
Since I can't ever own one, at least I can live vicariously through yours.

you mean the early - squarer - soarers?

the j@p import versions have the 1GGTE & 7MGTE. most people swap the 7M for the 1JZGTE - that shape never came with the 1JZ.

the SC300 and SC400 are eligible and available as "grey" imports in australia though.

the early soarer is a nice bit of work - minus the interior. about 80% of them are brown and the digital dash does nothing for me personally. they are a bit obese but nothing upgraded springs, shocks and swaybars can't fix.

Ahh, I see. I like the way some of them look when lowered and done right. I know what you mean by the digital dashes. The 80's brought about some pretty cheesy items. Who could ever forget the talking Nissan Maxima?
