Alternator Replacement

Hi All.
Just looking to relocate the alternator, I got the mounting bits from here but I must have a LS fan as I don't have a fan sensor, so anybody mounted a alternator to this fan housing. HELP

As you can see not any room to mount in normal place

Lextreme flip-flopped his so it was centered in front of thje water pump. his 4.7TT project currently has this done. Im sure he can give some more details.

or run it of the diff or axle area
have wired up afew like this for some show cars
they just dont charge when your not moving so u have to see if thats viable

don't know if this helps....

the 7M alternator is physically a bit small than the UZ alt and has similar (or the same, i can't remember) mountings. They're only 80 or 90 amps but you can get a 165 amp version on ebay if you need the juice.
