AC is acting funny

when I set the auto on my ac it with shoot cool air then hot air them cool air again, if i set it at max cool it will work fine. I also notice that when this is happening the outside temp reading in the car drops to -22 them climbs to normal temp. I wondering if the outside temp sensor is bad and is messing with ac controls when its set on auto any body have any idea what a fix can be or where the outside temp sensor is. thanks

I wouldn't know offhand but maybe it would help to let us know what year and model your car is?

First check your freon, but that is not likely your issue. Your climate control is malfunctioning and it is most likely an electric issue within the unit, I have seen this before, change the climate control and the problem will be fixed. Ebay $150
