Hey guys,
So I bought what I was told is 92 sc400 1uz for my cressida swap. The motor came with a full harness minus the ecu. I bought a 92 ECU later. During my build I became suspicious about the year of the 1uz since it has the electric modulators for the EGR valve instead of the vacuum modulators and the fuel rails are the square machined type. I was far along enough into the swap to do the test run of the motor a few days ago. She starts and idles nice. There is a hesitation at intitial tip into the throttle but she revs freely after that. I'm not very concerned about the hesitation until I get the motor buttoned up with coolant lines and am sure all vacuum line are complete.
Will the earlier ecu be a problem?
Thanks for your help!
