Yea what I have to work out is the Gt4202 is around $3k
The Billet is $2500 [made in Aussie]
And the Borge Warner $1100

From my talking with Supra guys, a 67mm will make 600whp on C16 all day every day on their 3L set ups.

I think David is right: a GT40 is sufficient for 600hp.

The 1.32 a/r on those Borgwarner units is a bit too laggy for my liking. You will certainly generate enough flow, but lag will be horrible. 1.32 is an extremely high a/r.

If I was looking for 600hp, I would favor any run of the mill 67mm turbo. You can find these units on Superforums classifieds, often second hand but new in box, for around $1k.

Magestic and a place in Florida have smaller A.R housings..
The std S400 are as you say and $500 odd ..Yes too big A.R
Sufficiant is right but a race engine it is...
Magestic have a 1JZ with S400 1.01 A.R T6 housing making 960 @ 30 Lb combinations can be made smaller. The exhaust housings are Garrett combatable so there's many variables... The extended blade on these turbo's tend to help spool and upper boost/ power levels.. The Billet turbo co. here uses their wheels also...This is not a street engine...

This is not a street engine...

I was not aware of that.

Is this engine for drag? track? ...

If it is not a street engine, forget my statement. If you are customizing the housings to suit, then I would not hesitate to trust the Borgwarner unit. I have heard good things.

Yep its being assembled right now with Argo Rods and 8.8 compression, C.P pistons...Kellford turbo cams and valve assembly.Ported heads, 11mm head studs, Cometic head gaskets etc...
Powerglide auto in an early rear wheel drive Celica, tubbed with four link rear end and role cage...At approx 2200Lb it should go o/k...
Yes 1/4 mile and some power cruze events..
