The SAFC is only used to tune for the fuel and V-tech points on Honda engines, so I don't think it's good for real engine management because it can't control engine ignition system. It can be used on a V8 to tune for the fuel, however. Some more advanced piggybacks can only retard the timing, but not advance the timing. If you want to run the engine with different CR, the good way to go is with the high-end piggybacks that can control the engine completely or the standalone ECU.Steve-
Since your mnore informed regarding piggybacks, would an SAFC work for an N/A high CR?
