3UZFE into Mitsubishi Montero Sport

Hello Lextreme! I just joined as I’m contemplating putting a 3UZFE into my 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

I heard that a 1UZFE bell housing from an SC400 will bolt to my transmission, but the primary question I have right now is this: is the 1UZFE and the 3UZFE bell housing pattern the same?

I am hoping to pull a 1UZFE bell housing this weekend and if that does fit my transmission and the 3UZFE, I have a lead on a 3UZFE engine I can pickup next weekend.

What about the 2UZ? I pulled a 1UZ and the oil pump opening was about an 1” too small for my transmission. Looks like a 2UZ from a Tundra might have a bigger oil pump and opening.
