1UZFE engine swap in California?

I live in San Diego, California and i want to put 1UZ in my 1995 Toyota truck. Since California has the most strict Air polution regulations in the world, I was wondering if it was even possible to do the engine swap and still pass smog. I would appreciate any tips and advise. Thanks

With a 96+ engine, all the factory EGR gear, factory ecu, and fairly restrictive exhaust (what 2 cats), there is no reason why it shouldn't pass.

But don't trucks have different smog laws to cars?

I think in California trucks and cars have the same regulation. There are few guys have done swaps in Cali already and they should know how to get it pass.
