1uz with tiptronic?

hi guys i'm new here...

i plan to put a 1uz in a mini truck, i want to keep the auto trans but i would love it if i could shift through gears like tiptronic.

if it would be a jz i would go for suprastick but i can't find any info on products for 1uz...would be awesome if anybody knows anything:D
 
1j and 1u boxes are similar
i have some tiptronic kits for the 1j and 1u boxes
but if u run these u cant have normal auto changing it has to be tip tronic all the time
bought them of kdog afew years ago
 
i know they're similar but i'm afraid that it won't work in the end lol^^
if you guarantee it will work then its ok:)

is that a complete kit so just have to wire 2 switches on? pls give me some infos+photos...and price

i can make it plug into your gbox it just means extra work and price goes up
what model 1uz are u going to buy

i dont know y supra stick wont work on 1u box
1j non vvti 4 speed boxes have 2 solenoids
1uz non vvti 4 speed have 2 solenoids
some have electronic line pressure some have cable but the tip tronic or supra stick doesnt care about that

last time i checked up about supra stick they were 300 to 400 dollars maybe
this tip tronic would be closer to 450 if u want it to plug into your box
 
i already mailed those guys from supra stick a couple of times with the question if it works for 1uz...never got an answer lol

i'm going to buy a non vvti 1uz, mostly available in thailand is the model from the ls400 but i have to wait until my importer confirms that and how much it will be, after i know that i still got enought money left i gonna come for your kit as i donno where to get it else^^

Once u get the engine I just need a pic of the plug that goes to the
Transmission solenoids and I can tell u more info
 
Who needs that solenoid anyway heheh
Just means u have high line pressure between
Gear changes
U will have firm changes not harsh changeS
 
2 days ago i asked those guys per email again...still no answer...maybe they already sold too much and don't have to answer to a lil customer like me lol

thx for the info beezer...so i thought it would have a kick down cable to control the pressure...

whats gonna happen without controling that solenoid 4? break my neck lol when it shifts from 1st to 2nd?:D

is there a way to fix that or control cause its gonna be my daily?^^
 
I guess teh cable keeps the line pressure high with the solenoid bleeding it off to make it acceptable.

I did a mod on my gearbox wiring where the 4th solenoid would be switched off when I was in sport mode. Gear changes are much quicker and firmer on part throttle. Full throttle was no different. The only adverse affects were that down changes were also much firmer with 2nd-1st noticeably harsh. I've since disabled this mod.
 
ahaa so when i think i need to test it out how it is lol...

if we would make a switch which would let the solenoid 4 bleeding the pressure off all day would that make it more comfortable or wouldn't it run?^^
 
Don't worry bout line pressure it's not to harsh
U would need to adjust pressures just before or during gear change

Just go chat to an auto specialist see what they say
