1UZ into RA28

The whole front suspension from a Corona, RT124 22R super response bolts straight in...
Giving heaps of room where the std steering box is too big..
The whole lot has to be fitted from column, struts, crosmember, rack and pinion.. Gives slightly wider track, but unless measured you couldn't tell..
The bolt holes on X Member need to be re drilled in approx 12mm and front extended approx 20mm .. The cover at steering column / firewall needs drilling and bolts fitted to pull them together tight.. I used extra self tapping bolts ..
steering much easier, more direct..

Yea fitting up mounts now.. Engine has been in and out like its on a honeymoon .. Sheesh !!
My Hong Kong digi has gone strange colour wise and I can't understand Chinese..

Here it is with engine installed.. The steering shaft goes close to exhaust manifolds.. Almost bolts straight in...


The front sump 1UZ fits in there just fine..

After long wait.. The adapter plate has been done with right bolts etc...

Ordered P/G to T400 input shaft..The Powerglide has 17 spline while the t400 has 30 spline.. Coming together slowly..

Final drive and 4 link.. The housing, axles, full spool is williams ..
The link bars are temperery till the heim 4 chomoly link arives...

Aha don't know whether I should dob myself in here .. Aha...
I fitted the head unit to diff.. Slid it near flange as they are VERY heavy..
Then looked to see if drive shaft aligned with tunnel in car ???
Freggg I could feel my blood pressure rising in my head!!! Thinking FOOLS have fabricated the centre unit "OFF centre"...

THEN I realised the car is upside down...
I turned the head unit around... It lines up PERFECT !!! Haaa !!!

I have measured a 1000 times and cut once...

The blue links are temp to fab fit ..

Set up turbo, manifold on dummy engine today...

My heim joints arrived so I wound the TIG up got comfortable and welding
the threaded bungs on...

Came out o/k ???
