1UZ into a VS Commodore

I run a 3.9 centre in my vl,real punchy but 1st gear is useless,

LOL ...the GT8 doesn't lack for punch (0-100 in 3.7 sec) and will do 90kph in 1st

Mines not that punchy,but not bad for a standard engine with manual trans,dreaming of the day when forced induction becomes a reality.

just highlighting how well a tall diff ratio works is all

swap in a 3.08:1 and see what you think. I reckon you'll find it an improvement in every way, both performance and economy/driveablilty

I am swamped atm i will try and get some pics of my install so far. I will also be using a 3.08:1 diff. Hope it is suited to drift!!!!!

Pics would be good,would like to see if ya exhaust is as bad as mine or not.

Commodore drift car?we dont see any of that here,except for the thrill of seeing a meat pie in a maloo ute giving it a crack once,made my day that did.

The Commo is quite capable! Just the Boat ankh in the front end didn't like the 6000++ rev range! ( Spun a big end. Needed Toyota power)

ha ha but it is always good 2 see the faces of a Nissan driver after they where beaten by a stock v6 commo!

U guys can help me out with my decision. i am in the market 4 a tow car. this is what i am thinking so far. Been mulling over this but cant decide.

Well i just bought the VS wagon with heavy duty tow pack as my tow car

Wagon,tools in the back and ya dont have to pullem out to use.
