1UZ-FE or LS1 swap into S14 200sx

The LS1 will put out much more power but will cost plenty more in standard trim. To mod an LS1 its MUCH MUCH cheaper so to get the same power say 350-400rwkw its probably cheaper to buy the LS1. Thats just NA. A 1uzfe with a turbo is a cheap, lethal combo.

when you say cheap to turbo what sorta prices are we talking ? Australian dollars mind you.....
 
If you are willing to make your own turbo kit, things get quite cheap. Sorry, all I know is USD, but a turbo that supports 600 RWHP can be had for $1200, maybe less. Make your own headers for around $300. Check out PWR for intercoolers, they seam to have very low cost and high quality IC's, and they are made in Australia, right?

Maybe you can start with a stock-ish 1UZ, then upgrade later?
 
put a supra box behind the 1UZFE and you will not be disappointed - add a turbo and the fun REALLY begins. you can run up to 20psi on the older motors without changing to decomp pistons and/or copper head gaskets. that's with a 10.4:1 CR for a grand total of 17.0:1 total CR under boost - talking diesel compression there so watch your tuning.

Do you have to run water injection when running 20psi boost? I was thinking of twin t28's at 10psi and twin intercoolers.
