Hello All
Got an issue with my UK 95 LS400 and been told that this is the place to get help!
Purchased a 95 LS400 a few months ago and all was well, however its developed a fault. So the car starts and drives fine as expected, but once it hits normal operating temperatures the EML comes on and car goes into "limp mode". Leave it to go "cold" and engine starts normal and drives fine until temperature is met. Added to this the dash lights keep coming on and dials have been randomly not working.
So took it to a local lexus indy and they have suggested and done the following:
Replaced Alternator
Replaced Lambda and O2 sensor
Replaced Temp Sensor
Still doing the same thing, in actual fact its got worse so goes into limp mode quicker. The indy has also said that there are no fault codes for the EML and or limp mode. Where do i go next? ECU replacement/refurb?
Any help would be much appreciated as the other half is getting to the stage of "i told you that buying an old car is a bad idea" stage
