    flow numbers

Friends. I've been busy between lots of things, but unfortunately almost nothing with my car. Here is recent flow bench data I gathered while working with Tim Kerber at Airflow Performance Engineering in CA. Tim is excited about the heads and the prospect of doing more of them. The results...

    CNC possibilities

A friend since high school single-handedly runs a million dollar machine shop here in Visalia. He works for Eddie Sanders Racing making high end MotoX and Quad parts that are sold world wide. His shop been looking into [maybe] doing some outside work (something he almost never has the time or...

    Timing belt tensioner modification

I'm not sure this deserves a new thread, but I didn't want to jack the Grand Am 3UZ thread. Anyway. Has anyone had a problem or has heard of one with the timing belt tensioner. Notice how the 3UZ on the Grand Am engine had it removed?

Au. How good are those pre-lexus Soarers?

Forgive us in the US, we don't have these--at least not to my knowledge. Where do they stand in the stream of choice cars in Au? It looks like they come in a few varieties. I think I've seen them with 1G, 7M, and 1J. I suspect they are a lot like the MA70 supras? Since I can't ever own one...

    honest opinions about your sc400

The SC400's have come down into the price range where I can finally afford one. Seems like you can get anything you want; low mileage=$$$$$, or higher mileage=$. I've always been in love with this car and would like one for a daily driver. It would be only freeway driving at about 100 miles/day...

    TE27 V8 swap update pics

Here is the latest on the my swap. I spent hours trying to find a way to use the stock Lexus engine mounts and/or the standard 3TC mounts that run <$20/ea. Really, I tried backwards, foward, upside down. It's really close and can be done with what you have to work with--mostly. I would...

World view of the States? What's up Australia?

Since this is an "anything goes" forum, I figured it would be a good place to post this question. We have always benefited from our close ties with Australia. For the last few decades they have provided military support and fought side-by-side with US soldiers in the pursuit of freedom. PM...

    Setting pinion and engine angles

This might be a long-shot, but is anyone familiar with setting the engine tilt back angle in relation to the pinion angle. I've set the pinion before, but only after the engine was fixed into place. C'mon, some of you 4WD and rockcrawler guys should know this.

You can now upload pictures directly to the Lextreme server!

I have uploaded the picture to the server and am using this format. http://www.toyomania.com/public_ftp/(yourimagehere) as suggested http://www.toyomania.com/public_ftp/10070401.jpg I can't get it to work. I'd like to upload the picture directly onto the post. I can't even get the link to...

    Questions about the 1uz rods?

I just took down my 92 1UZ and was blown away by how incredibly weak the rods appeared. I know appearances aren't everything. The manual says the rods are forged, which to my understanding is common among most high end Japanese engines. I compared them to a N/A VQ30 rod and it made the 1UZ look...

I need to update my links. Who's got web pages with Lexus/Toyota V8 info, swaps, big engines in little cars, etc. Don't be afraid to speak for someone else. If you know of some good pages, let me know--even if they're not yours. Thanks The Flea www.geocities.com/cambo61

    anyone using Autronic

I'm getting closer to making a decision about an EMS. I've read alot of good things about the Autronic sm2 and was wondering about peoples' experiences with it. I've had a little work with the DTA EMS from the UK. If you're using Autronic, could you tell me about your set-up, I.E...

    Lighten up this beast!

I've gone through 5 frame off restos and 2 full guttings. In that time I've reached a few conclusions about weight. 1) You can't make a big car light and lots of weight will render all of your hard work and money spent on an engine program useless. I used to bracket race with a guy who had...

My new Lexus to Ford C4 adapter link to pics

Blown EA, I'm actually gonna wait until the very, very last thing to buy the ECU because I think Autronic will have a total autotune feature on both fuel and ignition by the time I purchase. If not, I'll still go Autronic because I've read many good things about it from your mates down under...
