    Please help.

It seems so obvious now, just never gave it a thought before with only ever splitting engines with manual boxes. Could have saved myself so much time and hassle, not to mention all the expensive oil on the even more expensive block paved driveway (what a dumbass lol) :(

    Please help.

Hi Vince, didn't notice you'd replied. I'm guessing I should be fitting the tc to the box then and not leaving it on the flex plate (oops).

    Please help.

Would it be any easier for me to unbolt the tc and fit to transmission first (assuming them splines aren't f****ed)? Forgive the stupid questions, I've never owned or worked on an auto box before:o

    Please help.

Can anybody say why I'm having so much trouble getting my transmission and engine to bolt together? Every time I have to split the two they just don't seem to want to go back together, it goes most of the way in but then suddenly starts to bind and ends up trapping the flex plate if I try to go...

    Starting woes.

Oh. Never owned a Toyota before, infact this is the first petrol engined vehicle I've owned for about fifteen years, so I'm way out of touch. :)

    Starting woes.

Yeah, I noticed, nice little touch that and looking great too. It was shortly after watching that when I went back out to mine and it fired up, must've made it jealous :D can't understand why it wouldn't fire earlier, there was no spark at all.

    Starting woes.

Well I don't believe it, spent most of the weekend trying to get it to run with no luck, just gone out to it and flicked the key and it burst into life and I haven't done anything to it. How does that work then? :)

    Starting woes.

I'm nearing completion on my Land Rover 1uz conversion and can't seem to get the engine to run. I think I have all the relevant power supplies for the ECU and have power to the injectors, the igniters are well earthed but no power to the Crank or cam sensors. I've measured at the ECU aswell as...

    Air pressure sensor module.

Thanks for the info. Gloverman. Yes I believe it's a UFC-20? There's no charcoal filter on my truck, but I guess I'm pretty safe to delete it from the system? Presumably the power steering valve is there to increase the rev's from idle to offset the loading of the pump? Before I dropped the...

    Air pressure sensor module.

Hi Vince, I've been following your Lexurfs on the Surf forum, lovely job you're doing there, looks stunning. I've already ditched most of the EGR stuff and blanked the two EGR pipes, I even ditched the air pressure sensor module but thought I'd made a mistake and put it back. So IS the sensor...

    Air pressure sensor module.

I'm fitting a 1995 1uz into my Land Rover and got a couple of quick questions if anybody can help? There's an air pressure sensor module on the side of the engine, just in front of the EGR module, one side goes to the throttle body but I'm not sure where the other side goes to. Any ideas anyone...

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

I was just looking at that remote filter kit in the link and noticed the pipes on that one are 1/2" aswell. Something else to note is that the fittings look like they come straight out whereas mine are side exit, I wouldn't have had the room to fit that one on my truck, don't even know if I'd...

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

Yes of course it is, I remembered after I'd posted the reply. :o The relocation kit just bolts on where the filter was doesn't it, so the pressure switch isn't affected. Or have I done something wrong  :)

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

That's the one I bought mate. The integral oil cooler in the Lexus rad. was only 1/2" bore (at the most), so don't see it being a problem.

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

Fuddy Mucker, just been looking back through the thread and noticed you'd asked about a remote filter. The one I used was a Mocal one from Ebay. Just do a search for a remote filter 3/4 unf thread, Toyota, Nissan etc. Currently around £85+p&p. :)

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

Thanks everyone for your input, I've been a bit loathed to reply recently incase I was accused of thread hijacking  I've got my eye on a couple of surf ecu's on Ebay, and another forum at the moment. Being as this will be fitted to a Land Rover and not a Toyota I won't be splicing the...

    1uz in to Rocsta 4x4

Any chance of sharing your knowlege? I had thought about getting hold of a transfer box ecu but after consulting the wiring diagram I noticed that it picks up on one of the speed sensors. I'm pretty sure it's the one I've modified to use the Lexus transducer and thus would give a bad reading...
