yeh they def are, 1 of the techs at work said that possibility the solenoid isnt aligned correctly so causing it to jam, guess the center console is coming out again
the symptom is that when i put my foot on the brake and try to shift from park, it doesnt work without pushing the shiftlock override button and it does the same thing after i changed the shifter handle and the shift lock solenoid
I just replaced the shifter handle and shift lock solenoid on my dads 92 sc400 and the shift lock still isnt working right. I checked all connections and everything looks ok but still not working. What else can I check to get it working right?

thanks for the info. im pretty sure my fathers goal isnt 1000+hp. he would just rather have aftermarket rods if they dont cost a arm and a leg. he likes to go a bit overboard with things lol

yeh i dont plan on spinning the motor that high, 7000 rpm is about the limit is what i want to do and i kno about how important tuning is on a motor with forced induction. so pretty much your saying that these motors stock could take a fair amount of punishment in stock form with proper tuning...
