thanks. The shims are pretty cheap though right? I thought I recalled the guy I bought the engine from saying $5 or so when exchanging the old ones. Is that way cheap? Suggesting my memory is off.

Sorry, I must have sounded like an idiot. I did mean shims - I was looking through the tutorials but there wasn't one on replacing tappets or shims. Maybe it is part of a larger job tutorial?

Sorted. Typical 3 piece fix. 1 - Injectors On the initial test, 6 passed 60ml, 1 passed 55 ml and 1 passed 45ml while also having a terrible spray pattern. After servicing, all 8 passed 65ml and had good spray. This fixed thr rough running problem and she immediately sounded beautiful and...
