Hey guys does anyone make an adapter for the 1uz to the w series 5speed? I know they make a SBC kit but i dont want a 4bolt main 350, I want a 6 bolt main 1uz. I,m not a tranny kind of guy. Im a piupewelder/fabricator so mounts and things like that are easy., Im worried about electronic and gearing compatibility issues. Any pointers?

hi extremetoy im new to finding info on these forum pages aswell , and i have asked all sorts of trouble shooting questions regaurding the 1uz swap to my hilux to other members of this forum , my advice is dont hold your breath in waiting for answers , i have looked on that uzswap site and alot of it has to do with american trucks , tarcoomas and so on , and as you know the steering and other components are diff to our Aussie utes , i also want to bolt up a heavy duty 5 or 6 speed manual top loader box instead of taking the ezy option and bolting up the stock auto box but i have asked and not got any solid answers ,good luck with your serch for knowledge and it realy sux that there are guys reading this thead and know the answers to your question and have finished there projects and are to lazy to tap the key board for two mins , good luck again ..

thanks for getting back to me , have looked on a few of those sites and have even tried to contact 4x4 monthly mag as they have done storys on at least two blokes that have done the swap ,but they wont pass on my details to the guys because of the privacy act , stupid hey , never mind lifes always a challange .
