whats up fellas? just got my 92 sc400 about a month ago. looooove it. 192xxx miles but runs like a beast. light mods so far. but hey, thats why im here right?

Nice to see some 92's still running and on the road.. Enjoy, but check those LCA bushings, LED lights, and uneven tire wear. Those are the first things to go on the 92's..

Welcome to forums...
Nothing like an older car well looked after... One advantage is you see what has happened to other cars and check, replace or service so major issues don't come up unsurprised..
Thanks to Jibbby etc...

oh yea

and one other thing, the fuel gauge. its not the long 3 tubular type. its like a plain jane deal with the floater on a thin 90 degree arm

haha yeah, looks like alot of these cars are now getting on to there 4th owners by this point

well none of those things are an issue right now. the issues right now are struts and weak low end power

Weak lowend power is normal.. The only thing that will fix that is a torque converter upgrade. That really was the most disturbing aspect to me when I first got my SC400 years ago.. I remember racing big rigs off the line back in those dark days and losing..:o

haha yea

thats what i figured i needed to do to get the low end up. any advice on increasing compression before i tear into it?

hows that work?

A vehicle is going to accelerate way faster with 3.9 ratio than a 2.9 for example... Makes life slightly easier on trans too...

Gives engine a better torque multiplication ratio...

Works the same as higher rpm converter.
Doing both gets the weight moving ...

Possibly find a crown wheel and pinion from light truck fits
in these housings ???
