Newbie-Help With a Serious Build

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
97+ 1uz had vvti, i believe and i'm not sure on the 2uz. So you wanna 800+hp circuit car. Wouldn't that hurt you more than help?? You should shoot around 500 and work on weight, suspension, and chassis.

i have plans for coilovers, big brake kit, and a full role cage. im trying to have this be street legal at the same time.

another question for anyone who might know, would there be any way for hooking up awd to an sc or is there little room for clearance anyways? anyone seen anything like this? i just love awd ever since i took a ride in my buddys E30awd and thought i was gunna die the whole time! it was awesome!:D

You can AWD anything it just takes $$$. I know there are people who have taken the 6gen celica and converted them to awd by hacking up the rear end and welding the all-trac rear end up, but I down think there is room to fit an awd tranny. But I could be wrong. Like I said it just takes money.

LOL.... You could just drop the top of the Previa and I was reading most of them came supercharged(6psi twinscrew) and there mid engine with a possible 5spd. Imagine showing up to a track. I've seen a boosted Odessey in cali back in the days.

I have a supercharged version. It is pretty fast. I think it is alot lighter than most vans. I will also decreasing the charger pulling. My brother is a machinist and he is making me a 4.0" pulley. Stock is 4.5". 5 speed awd also available too.

LOL!
good one, but hey everybodys got start somewhere right!!
and honestly i've never been more motivated in my life! i'm pretty sure mental specialists consider this an "unhealthy obseSCion"!

ive got a plan! now i dont sound so crazy!

well my finances are finally starting to become organized. i will be very bussy all winter with a new job but by spring work will settle down. im going to be purchasing a 97sc400. ive finally organized my thoughts and figured out my basic build sheet. i will be ordering a stroked 2uz built short block. im not sure what the displacement will be after it is stroked yet. how ever it will be a vvti 2uz.
im going to take the heads from the sc (which is also vvti in 97, correct?) and i will be giving them the full treatment. titanium springs and retainers, custom cams, so as to make them flow and fit the numbers i wish to achive. ive got a twin turbo kit in mind that can be ordered with s200, s256, s258, s362, s368, and s372. i have no idea what type of turbos these are and if anyone has info, id appretiate it so as to select the best one for my application. the kit also comes with twin turbosmart 50mm wastegates, coated headers and coated down pipes. this company also makes a trick 1uz intake manifold that i might use. 550cc injectors, walbro fuel pump and new rails to keep things wet. a tko will be in the works. im planning on having some work done to it though. im not sure exactly what yet but ive got some ideas. aem ems that id like to have rebuilt by an expert with these systems to do a couple extra things as well as a turbo and vvti controllers. trd limited slip differential, hooked up to a carbon fiber driveshaft, both for a supra.
ride will be taken care of by jic magic flt-fas coilovers, jic magic tie robs, jic front negative upper links, and tanable sway bars. i like to use suspension all by one company so they are designed to work together, i figure i will get an over better effect. uhm but yea thats basicly the technical side of what i'm tryna do. as well as some sweet carbon fiber stuff, im feeling a carbonfiber hood, trunklid, decklid spoiler, and then using carbonfiber vinal id make it a twotone carbonfiber on black. fighter jet sc470tt vvti! haha well yea those are my plans for the next 2 years, see you in spring with some pics of my future sc and soon to be a badas$ toyota rocket! hah

4.7 VVTi TT.... just teasing....

i hope you hold on to that sc long enough for me to be able to roadtrip n come race you! hah! on a track of course...;)

~forgotten note~

sorry forgot one thing. i will be enabling 2 nitrous systems, one will be on the entire time a toggle switch is activated and will spray when the turbos are below the boost they are set to achive. the spray will be a injected right after the intercooler. another will be push button activated. this system will spray directly into the intake manifold via 4 sprayers.

and the 2uz will be a braced spliced 4 bolt main

Are you open to the idea of putting something like a built up LS1 motor in there? It'll be smooth, economical, powerful, fit well, easy to maintain, and cheap!

ehh its a thought. im open to any v8 that fits and packs a punch, im kinda really interested in twin turbo set ups though, and while the ls1 is a hellofa platform im a big japanese engine fan, which engine is really more reliable though. i mean turbos always drives your chances of something breakin up a lot but which engine is really a better fit for my demands for this kinda build?

if you want to stick it out with a Japanese motor AND want the most power possible I think the best plug & play solution for you would be a 2JZ-GTE with a big single. Those motors can take as much power as you throw at them. The 1UZ throws in the towel at about the 50% mark and wasn't really made for massive power without a LOT of expensive work

The N/A 2J goes well converted to turbo...Depends how good you or your mates are at fabricating ?? Otherwise as said 2JGTE with T04Z, Master Power T70 for budget turbo, GT42 for race type power gains, S380 / S480 is another option..
With GOOD tune and ECU power is made EASY and much better to drive...
Compared to same power level N/A...

i was figuring an iron block 4.7 2uz, possibley with a stroker kit, 1uz heads. i wanted a functional vvti too, would those be compatable with variable valves?
i have considered a supratt swap and i will push some numbers and see what i think but i like v8s a whole lot.

Welcome Skatony, you have a lot of lofty goals here...That is commendable. With the goals you have listed, you will need to have a "money is not an object" budget for sure. You will spend at least two to three times the price you pay for a clean, low mileage 97 SC400 and probably more....Just know that a FI, built SC400 with all of the trimmings, is like trying to control a 1000 HP vacuum cleaner while it is sucking up your bank account faster than a hot knife through butter . But since "money is not an object", I am confident you will not feel any pain .

You will get a lot of solid information on this forum. Lots of gearheads with UZ experience on Lextreme, as well as much experience on FI here. GL with your project.

Have you purchased the SC400 yet? Have you decided upon the engine yet, or which 6-speed you will be deploying? The S series turbos you listed are Bullseye power model numbers, I believe. Have you decided which turbos? You might contact them to make sure you size up the turbos properly for your application, as too big will bring top end power, but will bring lag....Since you posted up a pic of Eric's motor, are you planning to use Eric's (I mean mine :p) manifolds? Seems like you have a lot of decisions to make yet.... Either way, good luck!

BTW, you cannot make your power goals on 1 Walbro pump, and 550 cc injectors....not even close. You will need to double both, at a minimum.

BTW, it is basically impossible to build a low mount turbo set up on the 1UZ unless you make major structural modifications to the car. They will not fit where the cats are currently located unless you decide to loose floor board space and widen the tunnel, they will not fit where the rear mufflers are, unless you modify the trunk. This is if you do not lower the car. if you lower the car, which it seems you are indicating, definitely not. Plus, snails are meant to be seen, IMHO....;)
