can anyone tell me y the gz-mz series soarers (7mgte and 1ggte), the infiniti i-30 coupe, and the 1988-1990 mazda mx-6 (4cly. turbo or v6) look so much damn alike? the m30 (V6) and the soarers are rwd but the mazda is fwd. are these bastard children of toyota, nissan, and mazda? or were they just tryin to copy each others terds in attempts to make sales. the mazda dimensions (LXWXH in inches) 177X66.5X53.5 with a 99in. wheel base and about 3k curbwieght. The soarers roughly 187.6x66.7x52.9 with a wheel base of 105.1 and a curbweight of 2998.3. The infinti m30 is 188.8x66.5x 54.3 with a wheelbase of 103in and a curb wieght of 3333. can anyone shed any light on this?:wtf1:

Y, because we like you...M I C...K E Y... M O U S E... Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck...

Sorry man. I just had a flash back to that old show the Mickey Mouse club with the "Y" title to your thread..

In regards to the topic at hand.. I think there is a lot of copycat designs in Car Manufacturing... I guess the experts say which works well for one may and will work well for another so simular designs and concepts are copied.. I think there are alot of cars that look very simular in certain areas and or body parts..

One word Fashion.

The manufacturers run tests on proposed designs with panels of independant people to gauge the puplics prefered style.

It takes too long to produce a modle for one manufacturer to copy another and have the cars on the block at the same time.

A good example is the last LS400. Nice copy (to look at)of the E Class Mercedes-Benz but about 5 years later.
