i was installing some new fuel banjo fittings on my injector rails today, slipped and dropped part of one down the middle of the motor by the starter. with no way of reaching them through the intake manifold, and an inability of telescopic magnets to pick up alloy fittings, i was stuck with the only option to remove all the wiring, fuel system, and upper and lower manifolds, to get the fitting out. damn.
trying to make the best of a bad situation, i have decided to detail and polish the lower manifold to match the upper, before reinstalling the whole shebang.
ahh, the joys of building a car.
i will post pics when done.
