What aftermarket ignition wires are people using?

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
I shortened the stock wires and put 8mm terminals on them to suit my 8 MSD coils.

I prefer to use genuine - I have an excellant connection at toyota but they are still pricey. The ad from trade me is Geoff from rotorua - he fitted his SR coupe with a 1uz for a dare - had around 280rwhp on a standard motor. E-solver - I would have thought with your conversion you would be using eight coils as the G2 has enough outputs? lowboy has a set up with eight on his hilux and it's really tidy. I will try and find photos Cheers

We carry Nology, but it doesnt fit well with stock cover. I dont have those because they are very costly even at wholesale price.

Hi e-solver,
I bought some off Geoff on Trademe, and they've been fine. They fitted well under the covers, and the length was pretty much right on. I've had them in for about 2 years now, with no problems.

I only use stock wires as they fit and last a long time. Same as rotors and caps.

If there are engines out there with factory wires on them that are 15 years old and still running well I figure Toyota had it right.

I did once buy an aftermarket set fron the States. They came with 7 plug wires and 3 coil wires. Not much use.

Bill Croft (MoTeC and EMS tech advisor and beta tester) keeps telling me to use magnacor. Evidently he did some dyno testing for MoTeC trying different types of leads on the NA Lotus Targa Tas cars a couple of years back (he's got a dyno in his shed in his back yard!) and at peak revs they made a substantial difference, at low-mid not that much. Not that I cant remember exactly what it was, but it was something like 2 or 3 percent over others. They were running a full motec CDI ignition.

We ran them on a 16v 4age and got 92rwhp from a bog stock motor, only did ign, ECU and some dyno time to tune so something worked well!

Magnacor are pretty exe though...

Stock - why not, theyre already there, the right length and reliable!

Dont Like:
Eagle - poor quality for the expense.
