Water PSI in 1uz motor

Gidday mates, Just wondering if anybody knows the water pressure in
a 91 soarer 1uz-fe motor? Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

I just grabbed my radiator cap and pressed it down on the kitchen scales until the spring started to give.

You're looking at 7lb. This is very low so running 12 or 15lb caps on swapped engines may cause some problems down the track.

I run 15 but no water leaks yet and I've had it real hot.

This thread would work better under 1UZ than SC430.

Thanks for your help on that. I don't know if some of the guys ever think about
the water pressure in their heater core on older cars. But it pays to check.

I run 15lb as that's what the car had from the factory. I know they're prone to blowing heater matrix' so maybe I should drop back to 12lb.
