I have a 1992 SC400 and lately it has been showing overvoltage (16 volts) on my digital readout. this happens when driving over 1200 rpm. and the voltage drops to 10 when left overnight, needing jumpstarts.
Question is: would this be caused by the voltage regulator and is it located inside the alternator? btw. battery is a new redtop optima.
