UZX83 From the desert.

Hi my name is Andrew, i'm 23 years old from the high desert of california.
Always liked toyotas and V8's so i decided to put a 1UZ into my 89' cressida.

Pulled a 93 UZ from the yard along with a w58



Pulled the 7m out and cleaned up the engine bay.







Cleaned up the engine, replaced belts, seals etc...
put together my 5 speed adapter from toyotaV8.com and other goodies.









Installed the clutch mated the trans and put it in the car.









Did and EGR delete, fired out the wiring and the exhaust clearance.











Put my 5speed stuff together, along with re-assembling everything

Took it for a test drive but it wants to lose power when i give it any type of throttle, so i'm looking it that and then i'll hopefully be on the road.

Awesome! I have the same motor in my pearl white 1992 Mx83. Its a fun swap! be easy on the trans though.

Nice! i cant wait to figure out why its hesitating upon any given throttle.
If i want to beat on it ill probably throw in a 350z trans with necessary adapter.

Looks good! W58 holds up decently in the Cressida unless you drive like my friend mo.

who did your wiring ? Do you have any pics of the harness you could share of the e11 connector as far as where you hooked up to make it run?
