Hello All,

I am want to get more cubic from any of the uzfe. Here is what i found:

Bore x Stroke:
1UZFE: 3.44" x 3.25"
2UZFE: 3.70" x 3.31"
3UZFE: 3.58" x 3.25"

How much gain (cubic inch or liter) would be using 2uzfe crank with 3UZFE bore?

Very little over just using the 3UZ crank - about 5 cubic inches. Plus the 2UZ bottom end is a lot different isn't it?

The above combination (2UZ crank with 3UZ bore will yield 4367.92 cc. so it would be around 4.4 liter.

ENGINE CUBIC INCHES = (BORE) X (BORE) X (STROKE) X (.7854) X (NUMBER OF CYLINDERS)

Stock 2UZFE:
3.70 x 3.70 x 3.31 .7854 x 8 = 284.716 ci or 4665.65 cc and the bore/stroke ratio is 1.118:1

5.0 2UZFE:
In order for me to achieve 5000 cc (5.0 Liter) or 305.12 cubic, i would need to bore out the 2UZFE to 3.8303" and the bore/stroke ratio is 1.1572:1

5.5L 2UZFE:
Bore 3.803 x stroke 3.641 = 5.5 liter.

Does anyone know the deck height of the UZ motors? We have almost the same bore centre distance as a SBC (4.4 inch), but our strokes are so much shorter. Do we actually have shorter blocks? I am guessing so because of the cam differences..

What is stopping us boring to 4" and beyond like the SBC? Alloy block is weaker? Sleeves? Water jacket? We are sitting on almost an inch of wall between cylinders for the 1UZ.

I'm still not sure I'd really want to bore that big though... head gasket and wall problems suck.

The CS500 "5.0L" Celsior is actually 4.9L (4892cc)

Its 92x92 or 3.621" x 3.621"
330hp@5500 and 450Nm@4700
Compression ratio 11.2:1

So compared to a stock 2UZ-FE its been de-bored, stroked, and compression up'd quite considerably.

Peewee,

Do u know which crank CS500 used? It would be nice to find that crank 3.621" x 3.70" from Tundra bore and will produce 5104.03 cc or 5.1 liter.

Yes.
You don't find many off the rack cast iron blocks with 4 bolt mains.

2 bolt in steel is about the same strength as 6 bolt in alloy, just a tad weaker.
