Trans or Diff

Hey All,

I am having a problem with my 1991 soarer, when i take off from lights or just accelerating from a complete stop i am getten a vibration coming from somewhere, i can feel it though the steering wheel. its only on the innitial take off then it stops. feels like its struggling to take off. Also when i reverse fast it vibrates real bad... i am thinking diff but can anyone give me there ideas.

1st, check center bearing
2nd, check drive-shaft
3rd check diff.

My cressida does this it vibrates on hard take-off, the problem is the driveshaft moving in the center bearing.

and it vibrates at very high speed, that comes from the differential. 1 year since it vibrates and it still work pretty well, i changed the diff oil when i bought it.

Those diffs are a lot tougher than 7M's diff, i would check everything before the differential.

Can you feel the vibration more through the steering wheel or the seat? If it's through the steering wheel it's not likely to be the drivetrain.

I would also checK out the engine mounts, they are prone to failing also the rear gearbox lower rubber mount.

Na it feels like its coming from the back of the car(i can hear it).
i am pulling it apart 2morrow morning for a closer look, hopefully nothing to major!
