thermostat housing nipple?

I'm putting 97 sc400 motor back together for my 77 celica swap and do I just plug off thermostat housing nipple since I will be running a normal radiatior and not a pressurized resivoir? Thanks in advance and this is my first post

yes blanking it will be fine. They pull out quite easily and then the hole can be welded.
