Is it me or is that a different idle air control valve? It's also been relocated. And it looks like he's running non-OEM engine management since he runs no MAF sensor.
A lot of after market ecu's dont have stepper motor control ,which is needed to control the standard idle air control valve.
So an alternative is to swap to a PWM type valve as pictured.
The ECU is also probably Map sensor based.

So you can run sequential spark or wasted spark Both of which delete the dizzy as mentioned. Means you fire the plug in tme with the injection (rather than in batches)... also, sharing the load over more plugs means they have more time to charge, so you get a better spark which is important for high rpm or boosted situations.
