Hi guys,

I hope this is the right section.

I am busy with my 2nd 1UZFE conversion.

My first was putting the 1uzfe(non vvti) into a 1979 MKII Ford escort. The supplier that i originally got the engine from already removed the stock ecu and it was simpler to go aftermarket. The car has been driving/flying fine for a while now so i cant complain.

My second conversion is putting a 1UZFE-VVti into my F100, this engine i got complete with A650e, full harness and stock ECU still connected.

I have been playing around with the idea of sticking with the stock ECU. I did some reading and I cant seem to find the answer I want.

My question : What do I need to get the new engine as it is standing there to run with the stock ECU. I don't need instructions or anything...just a basic rundown of what needs to be done so that i can make an accurate costing and decided what would be best for me.

Thus far I know i will need to get a air flow sensor...

Any other big/expensive items?

And can can anyone tell me what key coding is? Do i need to worry about it?

Thanks for the link, i have been there before but never noticed the "Immobilized ECU" page.

I hope mine is not one of them...

I will get the ECU number, is it hard to get those transponder keys bypassed?

Morning,

The number on my ECU is 89661-50522. I tried looking it up on but its not there http://www.toyodiy.com.

Google search of the number yields a wierd site saying its from a 1998-1999 Celsior. Can anyone confirm is this is true?

Damn...was hoping that i could be lucky.

I did some Google searches for a while this morning (work is boring) and either i am searching for completely the wrong thing or its taboo, because I cant find much information on the topic.

I really would like to try the OEM computer because I have another 1uz running with aftermarket, its not running bad but I keep having this feeling in the back of my head that there is something lacking.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if the mobilizer switches off everything...or just the injectors? Can i possibly run the ECU on the transmission only?

There are a few A650 running with aftermarket controlers that I know of over here so there are bound to be more around the world. One of the guys over here built his own and is running it behind a supercharged 1uz. There are several suppliers of units that suit the A650 as the testing has been done.

Please I'd like speak to any one of them, Myself and Mike B have been trying to get a working map / some tech support out of PCS for the TCM-2000 for the last year they are soooooooo useless it's not funny!

The guy on here has the user name UCF11. He used the TCM2000

The other guy is a local auto sparkie that built his own.

Ive wired a few with the stock ECU. Just fitted an upgraded valve body and doing a switchable lockup kit now.

As for the question about weather the trans would work without the engine side I suspect it would but it is an exercise to prove it so it is quite unlikely anyone has done it yet. This year I have sent more immobiliser bypass boxes overseas than I have done locally. I think I have wired about 20-25 VVti engines this year.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the info, after phoning around for quite some time I found some one locally that could help bypass the immobilize.

And I also found a guy who is running the A650e off a dictator, that is if anyone is interested.
