The infinity audio site says that the SC400 has 4 inches front and 6 1/2 inches for rear. Is it true or rear speakers are also 4 inches?

and for the 10 inches subwoofer hole, is there enough depth to put any size 10 inches subwoofer?

I'd like to keep the stock nakamichi Player/amp combo for the vocal and upgrade the stock loudspeakers for some JBL Power serie, but i can,t find 4 inches component kit. Is there any high quality component speaker kit for the SC400?

JBL, Alpine, Infinity, Kicker, Fosgate, Eclipse doesn't have them.

I think i'll go with some 4 inches normal speakers and 6 1/2 inches component for the rear, in the JBL power serie. I actually own JBL GTO serie in my MX-83 and i like them a lot, for the price it's the best SoundQ speakers that I've ever owned.

would it be a good move or i should go aftermarket headunit?

ohh also, is there any way to fit 5 1/4 speakers in the front door? This way, i could buy a component system. But it seems to have only little space.

The fronts are 4" and the rears are about 4", no way 6.5's will fit without some custom fabrication. As for how much space for the sub, just yank on the rear covering in your truck, itll come of, you can take a look, and just pop it back on when your done.

ohh man... 4 inches... well...

It'll need a better sub to support mid/deep bass because 4 inches speakers... but still, stock sound system is not bad, missing a little detail in the vocals but not bad at all.

Finally, my good old Audio/video $hop found something for me.

JL Audio makes High quality 4 inches WOOFERS (no tweeter). But there's a price to pay. Since they are special Order and Competition speakers, they seal them 165$ EACH (no pair)

Still, I ordered 4 of them.

Also, they found a set of tweeters with Crossovers of the same quality as the woofer. Yet again, there's a price to pay, 335$ each set of tweeters. ( I didn't ordered them lol )

Still no radio, no amps, no sub replacement... geeeeeeeezzzzzz that's a lot of money. But these little 4 inches woofers in the OEM boxes will sure sound very very nice.

I will receive them in about 2 weeks, I'll post you a report of the quality they give with the OEM receiver/amp.

Those woofer are not even listed on their website. can't wait to see how it sounds.

took the rear speakers off today, and the sub, to discover something very nice.

there's no nakamichi amplifier there, someone installed an Alpine 4 channel + sub over the fuel tank. very nice installation, still OEM speakers but i adjusted the amplifier correctly because it was settled very dummy and the result is pretty impressive, those stock nakamichi speakers punch quite well for an OEM sound system. anyway, that's 1 free amplifier that will go in my MX-83 and the kicker and planet audio amp will go in my Lex :D
