So What's the Difference Between a Bolt & a Screw?

Theres another way to look at this.

If you are having a screw with a women and her boyfriend/husband comes home then you need to bolt. And I dont think it matters where in the world you come from that defination should work for everyone.

For the australians the definition includes for sheep as well.

There are lots of things in the world where correct definitions are not used like hose/pipe burger/hamburger and stew/casserole. As a world we can't even get left and right sorted especially when it comes to cars. We might understand left hand drive cars and right hand drive cars yet we start swapping things around just because we are not sitting in the vehicle.

Just because of this thread I will know ask for machine bolts instead of machine screws and capbolts instead of capscrews except when I accually want capscrews, then I will ask for them.
