single turbo size??? will a T3 work?

I've been doing a little research on Turbo sizing for the 1uz and have heard some people saying that a single T3 would be to small and it will choke on the top end and be too restrictive... is this true? I have a brand new Turbonetics Turbo charger I bought for my 1uz and it happens to have a t3 turbine side .65 AR with a 60 series compressor side. its rated to 550hp. Will this Turbo work? My goals are 300hp daily something like 7psi. Any suggestions? Thanks

The only thing that´s a T3 is the turbo? Change that turbine housing and make a T4 setup. There´s no need to be restricted from scratch.

GT35R has T3 turbine..

Used on Australian factory 4.0 with good results.

its a combination of the turbine AR housing and the HP capacity of the turbo. put it on and try it and if it doesnt work swap the turbine housing for a t4 one or larger T3/AR

I wouldn't go smaller than 1.06 AR T3

Smaller AR you could run twins ??

Guess you want 400-600 hp so yes a single would work.

I will be selling my t3 and be buying a t4 im thinking I will go with the turbonetics hurricane series"letty" turbocharger thanks for the help everyone
