when the engine revs out to 6K in second gear, instead of shifting like it normally would right away, there is a delay when it hits the revlimiter, then it shifts. 1994 LS400. any thoughts.
that it should shift. ecu first back ignition: all power down and when shifting. that takes a lot of time not sure how much but perhaps 0.5-1 sec. that shitty shifts prevent premature gearbox falirue cause it engages at wot long time so plates become very hot from friction. so smooth engaging (lexus style) requesting long engaging causing hot so ecu pull back timing before so engaging make less hot. that is pain but that way that tranny is controled.
now i'll repeat that in english now for everyone's sake. the computer isn't keeping up with the engine(deliberately to preserve the tranny), or one of the solenoids might be playing up.
