SC400 rough start

Hello this is my first post on this forum, and I am looking forward to learning form all of you. I have a 1992 Lexus SC400. It has 70,000 miles and I am the second owner. the car sat for much of the time while the original owners traveled. Ive owned the car for 2 years. After 6 months I had to replace the starter. lately I have had a problem with cold starts. it fires immediatly but only runs for a couple seconds then dies. after about 4 or 5 attempts it will stay running, but will idle rough for about ten seconds, after witch the rpm will run up to about 1100 for another ten seconds then settle in at 600 rpm. from then on out its fine and starts perfectly when warm. also my check engine light is on and my traction control will not engage. thank you for any advice.

main ecu, fuel pump ecu and ISCV are the main culprits

Thanks for the info, what would be the best way to check these?

pull the fault codes.(search for info on how to on here)

then go from there.
bet its none of mentioned faults.(barr one).(ecu's reliable,your car may well not have fuel pump ecu,iacv always a possibility,though aint that if it does it still with throttle off idle.

pull fault codes..your car may be telling you whats wrong

(injectors can go sticky (get stuck closed even) if left standing)

did i mention pull the codes?

fyi, the ecus are not reliable, soarerworld is full of people with failed ecus
