dyna bolt is a name ramset give to them
they are a wedge anchor

Been a long time since i updated this.

Bought a 1UZ from a JDM UCF11 halfcut.
I have spent the last month or so tiding up, refreshing, removing & relocating parts on the engine.

How the engine looked when i bought it

Cleaned up with lightly port & polished inlet manifolds, etc, etc

Falcon 110A alternator mounted up & ignition coils relocated

Starting re-covering & rerouting looms

And again...

Removed trac control from throttle body

Main engine loom tagged and ready to be re-covered & routed

The inlet manifolds and cam covers are painted, and the block has been cleaned with degreaser and a tooth brush.
Took quite a long time...

I used a lot of brake cleaner on my upper plenum and managed to take the finish off, probably will just bead blast the rest off and powder coat. How did you coat yours? regular high temp paint? or powder?

Regular high temp paint.
Hopefully itll last a little while.
