I'm installing my new head unit. I found the acc and the constant 12V on the harness(es!!!) but i can't find how to make the power antenna lift. I've put my H.U. in radio mode, then i tried to jump the antenna wire on every connections in the harnessesssssss (sooo much man...) but it doesn't want to lift.

And i can,t find any FAQ on the forum or the website about installing an aftermarket Head Unit.

Maybe tomorrow I,ll try to check the antenna motor in the trunk to find out what color is the remote wire... but i doubt it'll still be the same color on the harness.

But still, the harnesses setup inside the dash is very nicely made.

if someone has the info, plz tell me ASAP. It's a 95 SC400 Canadian model (probably the same as US)

5 1/2 hours of searching, testing, light testing...... and wire jumping... I toasted the volume control of my OEM radio, and didn't find that stupid power antenna wire....

The mitchell's wiring diagram on the website is not compatible with the 1995 SC400 model, I've got wires that are not even listed on the diagram.

**** it, the antenna will stay retracted, i don't wanna kill every electric component to find that stupid thing.

your aftermarket unit won't control the stock antenna. i recently installed an aftermarket power antenna to compliment my aftermarket head unit. when i did that i didn't even use a wiring diagram, just looked at the color of the wires in the back and found them in the front and tested the continuity with a test meter to make sure.

i think it has its own ecu and the original lexus would rise a certain height for am, fm etc. There might be a way to get it to function, but i haven't seen any success. I got a universal antenna for the sc400 (can't remember the website), but i already had a bent antenna so this was an obivious choice for me because they are like $35, you should find some on ebay if you like. When i removed the orginal antenna it had so many wires connected to it, i couldn't imagine why it would need so many.

Exactly, when i removed the upholstery in the truck to get access to the antenna my face was      so much wires for an antenna!!!!!!

Finally i did nothing for the antenna. Finished all wiring today, made a cute wood/leather box for the bottom DIN space, plugged the stock speakers while waiting for my commands.

All i have to say is HOLY CRAP with some good amps those stock nakamichi packs a punch! the sub can't follow but it can make a decent mid bass.

oh yeah, i love the nak speakers even the sub, i just kept one b/c that's all that worked on mine, i have mb quart in the back and one infinity kappa and one stock nak in the front, these cars have great sound
